Veteran center Khem Birch is returning to the EuroLeague by signing a one-year deal with Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul.
The 31-year-old Canadian previously played in the EuroLeague during the 2016-17 season with Olympiacos Piraeus.
In his prior EuroLeague stint, Birch averaged 7.3 points and 5.6 rebounds per game, helping Olympiacos reach the championship game.
Birch’s EuroLeague experience and athleticism add significant depth to Fenerbahce’s frontcourt.
Last season, Birch played for Basquet Girona in Spain, where he posted averages of 8.8 points and 5.7 rebounds in 12 Spanish League games.
Birch has a six-year NBA career under his belt, having played with the Orlando Magic, Toronto Raptors, and San Antonio Spurs.
In the NBA, Birch appeared in 298 games, averaging 5.0 points and 4.4 rebounds per game, also spending time with the Lakeland Magic in the G-League.
