NBA legend Kevin Garnett expressed confidence that the Phoenix Suns will exceed expectations in the 2024-25 season.
Garnett believes the Suns, led by Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, and Bradley Beal, have the potential to outperform most predictions.
During a recent episode of Ticket & The Truth with Paul Pierce, Garnett stated that Phoenix’s star trio could make a significant impact.
“Devin Booker can be an MVP, you know what I’m saying?” Garnett said, via Duane Rankin of Arizana Republic.
He also highlighted Bradley Beal’s potential, noting that Beal, like Booker, has MVP-caliber talent.
Garnett’s endorsement comes as the Suns aim to bounce back from a disappointing 2023-24 season.
The Suns struggled with injuries and inconsistency, leading to an early playoff exit in the first round.
However, Garnett remains optimistic, particularly about Durant and Booker, who played together for Team USA and won Olympic gold in Paris.
“That means they’re in a rhythm. I’m telling you, bro. Phoenix is going to be better than what most [people think],” Garnett added.
Garnett’s confidence in the Suns is rooted in his belief that their core players are capable of leading the team to success.
With new head coach Mike Budenholzer at the helm, Phoenix is looking to re-establish itself as a contender in the Western Conference.
