ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski has revealed details about Lonnie Walker IV’s contract with the Boston Celtics.

Walker, who joined Boston after a stint with the Brooklyn Nets, signed a one-year deal.

However, NBA insider Shams Charania has provided additional insights into the nature of the contract.

Charania reported that Walker signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Celtics, a contract type that includes specific terms for potential G League play.

An Exhibit 10 contract allows the Celtics to offer Walker a bonus if he is waived after training camp and subsequently plays for their G League affiliate in Maine.

This type of deal often includes an incentive for players to stay with the team’s G League system, providing a financial cushion if they are not part of the main roster.

During the 2023-24 season, Walker averaged 9.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game with the Nets.
