The serial of Mirza Begic has come to its end after Real Madrid officially announce the international Slovenian player.

Mirza Begic had left Zalgiris last month after a falling out between the club and the player’s agent over what seems to be unpaid agents fees of approximately 100.000 euros.

Just hours ago Zalgiris chairman Vladimir Romanov claimed that he rejected a 500.000 euros offer by Real Madrid to send them Begic’ letter of clearance, claiming he is not doing business with anything less than 1 million.

Real Madrid announce that the player signed until the summer of 2013. Further details were not made known, so it is yet unknown whether the two clubs agreed to a buy-out or Real Madrid unilaterally signed the player, hoping for FIBA court to release the player from his Zalgiris contract and allow him to play elsewhere.

The player averaged 9.7 point and 4.8 rebounds during the regular season of Euroleague, in 10 games with Zalgiris.
