NBA legend Kevin Garnett recently made a bold statement, declaring that Giannis Antetokounmpo is the fourth best player in the Eastern Conference.
This ranking places Antetokounmpo behind players like Jayson Tatum and Joel Embiid, according to Garnett’s assessment.
Garnett’s comments sparked debate, particularly with Celtics legend Paul Pierce, who disagreed with his former teammate’s ranking.
Pierce argued that Antetokounmpo should be ranked higher than Embiid, citing Giannis’ impact on both ends of the court.
“Giannis, his presence is crazy on both ends,” Pierce remarked while discussing the comparison between Antetokounmpo and Embiid.
Giannis, a two-time MVP known as “The Greek Freak,” has been a dominant force in the NBA, consistently delivering high-level performances.
This past season, Antetokounmpo averaged 30.4 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game, showcasing his all-around abilities.
Despite these impressive numbers, Garnett believes that other players in the East have surpassed him in overall impact.
