Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki recently shared his thoughts on the possibility of Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic playing together.

Nowitzki, who spent his entire 21-season NBA career with the Mavericks, expressed his excitement at the idea but acknowledged the uncertainty of it ever happening.

“I hope that would be in Dallas,” Nowitzki said, via Cesare Milanti of Eurohoops, reflecting on the potential partnership between Doncic and Jokic.

He emphasized the skill and talent of both players, calling them “two of the best players in the world,” and noted their mutual respect and friendship.

Despite his enthusiasm, Nowitzki admitted that he is unsure if the duo will ever team up, but he remains hopeful that Doncic will continue his career in Dallas.

“Obviously, both are two of the best players in the world,” Nowitzki reiterated, highlighting the remarkable abilities of both Doncic and Jokic.

He praised Jokic’s game, particularly his passion and skill as a big man, calling it “unbelievable” and expressing admiration for how he plays the game.

“Hopefully, [Doncic] finishes his career [in Dallas],” Nowitzki added.

The prospect of Doncic and Jokic playing together, whether in Dallas or elsewhere, would undoubtedly create a formidable duo in the league.

Both players have already made significant impacts on their respective teams, with Doncic becoming the face of the Mavericks and Jokic leading the Denver Nuggets to an NBA championship.
