The NBA has increased back-to-back games for the 2024-25 season, with teams averaging 14.9, up slightly from last year but still lower than a decade ago.
The schedule avoids back-to-backs before major games like opening week, holidays, and Saturday night ABC games, and no NBA Cup games will follow a back-to-back.
Eleven teams, including the Atlanta Hawks and Denver Nuggets, have the most back-to-backs at 16. Six teams, such as the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers, have the fewest at 13.
There are no four-in-five-game stretches this season, as the NBA continues to reduce them.
