Free agent Daniel Theis has signed a one-year deal with the New Orleans Pelicans. The news was confirmed by NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski on X.

Theis, a 32-year-old center, is entering his eighth NBA season. Last season, he played for the Indiana Pacers and Los Angeles Clippers.

During his time with the Clippers, Theis averaged 6.3 points and 4.1 rebounds in 17.1 minutes per game.

The Pelicans are looking to bolster their frontcourt depth with this acquisition after the departure of Jonas Valanciunas.

Theis brings experience and defensive presence to New Orleans. He is also set to lead Germany in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The center has had stints with several NBA teams, including the Boston Celtics and Chicago Bulls. His versatility and experience make him a valuable asset.
