The Golden State Warriors are actively pursuing a trade with the Philadelphia 76ers to acquire sharpshooter Buddy Hield.
This move comes in response to the departure of Klay Thompson, who recently joined the Dallas Mavericks.
According to NBA insider Shams Charania, the Warriors are in serious talks on a sign-and-trade deal to acquire Hield. The two teams have been in deep discussions, working to finalize the deal for one of the NBA’s best three-point shooters.
Last season, Hield, a 31-year-old shooting guard, averaged 12.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 25.8 minutes per game.
Currently, Hield is representing the Bahamas national team in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Valencia, Spain, striving for a spot in the 2024 Paris Olympics. He played a pivotal role in the team’s victory over Finland in their opening game.
The potential acquisition of Hield would bolster the Warriors’ perimeter shooting, a crucial element in their offensive strategy.
Known for his ability to stretch defenses with his three-point shooting, Hield would provide the Warriors with a reliable scoring option from outside.
