Sunny Hostin from “The View” implied that Caitlin Clark’s ascent to fame is shaped by her race and physical appearance.

Clark, renowned for her exceptional NCAA career at Iowa and her selection as the top pick in the WNBA Draft, has witnessed a notable surge in popularity this year.

During the Wednesday episode of the ABC talk show, Hostin explored how specific privileges could have played a role in Clark’s growing prominence.

“I do think that there is a thing called pretty privilege,” Hostin said. “There is a thing called White privilege. There is a thing called tall privilege, and we have to acknowledge that.

“And so part of it is about race because if you think about the Brittney Griners of the world, why did she have to go to play in Russia? Because they wouldn’t pay her,” she said of the WNBA.

Dave Rubin – an author, comedian, and TV personality – shared some of his thoughts on the matter on the X platform.
