Former Knicks players have been seen supporting the team during the playoffs, but Charles Oakley, amid his ongoing feud with the organization, has been notably absent. The dispute, which escalated in 2017 when Oakley was ejected from a game, stems from conflicting reports of his behavior near owner James Dolan.

Oakley maintains he was ejected unjustly, and despite invitations from Dolan’s lawyers to attend games, he refuses to return until receiving an apology. Their legal battle continues, with Oakley seeking redress through assault and battery claims against Dolan.

“Just be honest,” Oakley said. “Just be transparent over what you put someone through and how you changed their life. This definitely changed my life. My daughter Googled me, they show them pulling me out of the Garden, that’s bad. That’s hell for a kid to see that.”
