The Minnesota Timberwolves big man Rudy Gobert believes that his exceptional abilities might unsettle some individuals.

He perceives that to some, he may come across as the unconventional figure from France who consistently achieves success, which could irk them.

Gobert acknowledges that he influences games in a distinctive manner, which might not be as visually appealing or flashy as others, making it challenging for some to appreciate his contributions.

He feels that he is often misunderstood and suggests that his presence may provoke reactions from certain individuals.

“In their eyes, I’m more like the odd guy from France that’s winning a lot of awards, and it can bother people. I impact the games in a very unique way,” Gobert said.

“It’s maybe not as cool or not as flashy as some other guys, so it’s sometimes harder for them to respect that. I just think I’m just mostly misunderstood. I think I trigger a lot of these guys.”
