Nick Nurse provided an update on Joel Embiid’s condition before the Philadelphia 76ers’ victory against the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday. The head coach expressed optimism about Embiid’s recovery, stating that doctors are pleased with the progress made by the franchise’s star player.
“I think there’s always stages of how these things progress,” Nurse commented. “Everyone wants to know ‘Well how long is it going to be?’ And they give a wide range because of that, because everyone heals differently. We’re just trying to take it as it comes, get him healthy, and get him back when he’s ready to go.”
When questioned about Joel Embiid’s potential readiness before the playoffs, Nurse remained optimistic yet cautious in his reply.
“I’m still hoping so and pretty confident, yes,” Nurse stated.
