Warriors forward Draymond Green shared with Howard Beck of The Ringer that he is committed to concluding his career on a positive note. Even after serving a league-imposed suspension, Green continues with therapy as part of his effort.

Expressing a sense of urgency as he acknowledges being closer to the end of his career than the beginning, Green emphasized the importance of shaping his legacy.

He posed questions about how he wants his career finale to be remembered – whether it be marred by negativity or reminiscent of the positive aspects from the beginning.

Green underscored the significance of leaving the game with grace and integrity, emphasizing the choice between a legacy marked by impulsive actions or one characterized by doing things the right way.

“I’m far closer to the end than I am the beginning,” Green said. “Do you want the end to look like complete s–t? Or do you want the end to look closer to how it looked in the beginning? Do you want to leave gracefully?

“Or do you want to leave like a f–ing a–hole? Do you want your legacy to be a guy who couldn’t contain himself, a guy who couldn’t finish the job? Or do you want your legacy to be a guy who did it his way, yes, but did it the right way? I think that’s what it boils down to.”
