Houston Rockets’ center Alperen Sengun delivered a career-best performance against San Antonio Spurs’ rookie standout Victor Wembanyama, scoring an impressive 45 points in a 114-101 victory.

Sengun capitalized on Wembanyama’s perceived weakness, exploiting his lack of strength to establish position and dominate in the paint.

Reflecting on his performance, Sengun remarked, “He’s so tall, really. He’s really tall, but he’s not that strong yet, so I was going into his chest and put him under the rim,” as reported by Adam Spolane.

The Turkish center’s ability to assert himself physically against Wembanyama proved instrumental in his offensive onslaught, allowing him to operate effectively in the low post without facing significant resistance.
