The Nuggets guard Jamal Murray may not have received All-Star recognition, but he values something even more significant – a championship ring.
Murray shared this sentiment with The Athletic’s Sam Amick, saying, “I’m an All-Star when you need the All-Star to show up – in the playoffs. You want the best to step up (then), right? And I think I do a good job of that.”
The star guard emphasized his confidence in his playoff performances and how he backed himself up in crucial moments. While not being selected as an All-Star doesn’t bother him psychologically, he views it as additional motivation.
Murray pointed out that he has not been an All-Star for a long time, yet he holds the title of a champion and plays for the best team in the world alongside the best player in the world.
