Jamal Murray’s explosive performance led the Denver Nuggets (44-20) to a commanding 142-121 triumph against the short-handed Utah Jazz (28-36) on Saturday.

The defending NBA champions soared to victory with Murray leading the charge with 37 points, complemented by Nikola Jokic’s 26 points, six rebounds, and eight assists.

Michael Porter Jr. who added 19 points to complement Murray and Jokic’s performances.

Denver’s potent offense overwhelmed the Jazz from the start, building a massive 39-point lead in the first half.

Utah mounted a spirited comeback in the third quarter, narrowing the deficit to 14 points, led by Keyonte George’s 29-point outing.

Jordan Clarkson added 22 points off the bench for Utah, while John Collins contributed 17 points and nine rebounds.

However, Denver’s early dominance proved insurmountable for the Jazz, who failed to contain Murray’s scoring.

With this victory, Denver continues to assert its dominance in the Western Conference, inching closer to the conference-leading Oklahoma City Thunder in the standings.
