Deandre Ayton has been performing exceptionally well in his recent 10 games, averaging 17.8 points with an impressive 62% shooting from the field, along with 11.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.4 blocks.

After missing 12 games due to a knee injury, the Trail Blazers center returned to action on January 19th. Ayton believes he is integrating better into the team by reflecting on past mistakes and adopting a more humble approach.

In an interview with Casey Holdahl of the Blazers’ website, Ayton stated, “I’ve been trying to humble myself a little bit and just accept the challenge, have some humility when it comes to failure.”

He emphasized the importance of patience and not rushing things, acknowledging the team’s youthful and exciting dynamic. Ayton stressed the necessity of going through growing pains and taking the time to understand each other as they progress.
