The Los Angeles Lakers have emerged in trade rumors involving Atlanta Hawks guard Dejounte Murray. However, reaching a trade agreement between the two teams poses challenges.
The Hawks are reportedly reluctant to accept Lakers guard D’Angelo Russell in a deal for Murray. Given salary matching requirements, including Russell in offers for Murray seems almost unavoidable for the Lakers.
If a trade for Murray is to happen, the Lakers and Hawks may need to involve a third team willing to take on Russell, who is owed $17.3 million for the current season and has an $18.7 million player option for the next season.
