When discussing NBA draft disappointments, Greg Oden’s name frequently surfaces as the top pick of the 2007 NBA Draft, playing only three seasons with limited appearances due to persistent knee injuries.

Oden’s career spanned just 105 regular-season games, averaging 8 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks in 19.3 minutes per game before his premature retirement in 2016.

Speaking on the “Curious Mike” podcast with Denver Nuggets’ Michael Porter Jr., Oden’s former teammate, Brandon Roy, lamented the untapped potential, stating, “He had that Hall of Fame talent. I just hate that the world couldn’t see him at that Kevin Durant level.”

Interestingly, Oden was drafted ahead of Durant, who went at number two.
