Simons contributed 20 points, including the crucial shot in the closing moments, while Jerami Grant led the Blazers with 30 points and eight rebounds.

The Nets, led by Mikal Bridges’ 21 points and Spencer Dinwiddie’s 19, fought hard but succumbed to their fourth consecutive loss.

With 1:48 remaining, Dinwiddie’s foul shots gave the Nets a 101-97 lead, but Simons responded with a game-tying floater, and Grant’s tip-in with 9.1 seconds left secured a 103-101 edge for the Blazers.

Cam Johnson’s layup leveled the score again, leading to a crucial timeout for the Blazers with 5.2 seconds on the clock.

Executing the game plan, Simons received the ball and delivered a clutch floater with 0.2 seconds left, securing the thrilling victory for Portland.
