Over the next few weeks, the San Antonio Spurs will have limited options in the frontcourt rotation behind Victor Wembanyama. Zach Collins is expected to be sidelined for two to four weeks due to a sprained right ankle, according to Spurs coach Gregg Popovich.
Collins, who had been a consistent presence in the team’s lineup for the first 31 games of the season, sat out his first game on Sunday against the Boston Celtics.
Earlier in December, Wembanyama was moved to the starting center position, while Collins transitioned to a role coming off the bench. Throughout the season, Collins has maintained solid averages of 12.9 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game.
