Brooklyn Nets star guard Ben Simmons extended his absence to the 11th consecutive game on Thursday night, being absent from a disappointing 129-128 loss to Charlotte.

Those anticipating his return may gain better insight by the weekend. Simmons has been sidelined since November 6 due to a nerve impingement in his lower back.

On November 22, the team announced that his status would be reviewed within “7-10 days.” However, no updates were provided before Thursday’s game, and the team has a day off on Friday.

“We’re gonna give you something on Saturday probably, overall of where Ben is at,” Nets coach Jacque Vaughn said.

“He has been included in all our meetings, film, and all that stuff. We’ll give you something on Saturday about what he’s been doing on the court.”
