Carsen Edwards delivered a season-high 21 points, and Sylvain Francisco contributed 17 points and six assists, propelling Bayern Munich to a 94-85 victory over Partizan Belgrade at home.

This win marked the first for the German side in the EuroLeague after enduring four consecutive losses. Unfortunately, Partizan, now with a 3-5 record, fell short.

Sylvain Francisco’s impactful play came with a crucial drive to the basket for an and-one layup, giving Bayern an 89-85 lead with 1:13 remaining.

Despite Partizan’s comeback from a 12-point deficit, they missed consecutive triples, allowing Leandro Bolmaro and Nick Weiler-Babb to extend Bayern’s lead.

“This win means a lot,” Edwards said. His team is now 3-5. “We still have a long way to go. But I think just seeing us getting the win and putting up the work and finding ways to get results. That’s important for us to make a new start.

“Just playing the game the right way,” he added on his 21 points. “Take shots that are open for me. My teammates found me.”
