The NBA has decided to suspend the Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green for five games following his involvement in Tuesday’s altercation in Minnesota.

The incident occurred after Klay Thompson and Jaden McDaniels engaged in physical altercations, prompting a stoppage in play. Draymond Green joined the confrontation and put Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert in a headlock for several seconds.

Game officials, determining that Gobert was attempting to de-escalate the situation, assessed Green with a flagrant 2 foul and an ejection.
