Amid his transition to the Washington Wizards after a successful four-year stint with the Golden State Warriors, including the championship-winning 2021-22 season, Jordan Poole expressed his excitement about playing basketball without the burden of pressure.

“This is probably the first time in my life I’ll play basketball with no pressure. So that’s kind of how you look at it. But it’s a really good opportunity. It’s a cool opportunity, dope opportunity,” Poole said, as reported by Logan Murdock of The Ringer.

With a career-high average of 20.4 points per game last season, Poole’s relocation to the Wizards places him in a prime position for a breakout season, particularly as he assumes a pivotal role alongside Kyle Kuzma as the key stars for Washington.

The anticipation surrounding Poole’s potential is further emphasized by recent comments from NBA legend Kevin Garnett, who has high expectations for Poole, projecting him to lead the league in scoring this season.
