Crvena Zvezda has officially announced Giannis Sfairopoulos as the new head coach, signing a two-year deal.

Sfairopoulos steps in for Dusko Ivanovic, who was formally dismissed on Saturday (21/10) following the team’s third loss in the first four EuroLeague games of the 2023-24 season.

Sfairopoulos, previously at the helm of Maccabi Tel Aviv from 2018 to February 2022, boasts an impressive coaching record.

During his tenure, Maccabi Tel Aviv secured three Israeli League championships (2019, 2020, 2021), the 2021 State Cup, and the League Cup titles in 2020 and 2021.

This marks Sfairopoulos’s fifth coaching role, with prior experiences at Kolossos Rhodes, Panionios, and Olympiacos Piraeus, where he made a significant mark in the EuroLeague.
