The Warriors are enhancing their roster with the acquisition of free-agent forward Rodney McGruder.

According to a report from NBA insider Shams Charania, McGruder is in the final stages of finalizing a deal with the Dubs and is set to compete for a coveted spot on the team’s roster during training camp.

McGruder, a seasoned 32-year-old player, in the previous seasonaveraged 5.7 points and 2.3 rebounds in 16.4 minutes per game while playing for the Pistons.

Interestingly, McGruder’s journey to the Warriors carries some history, including a notable exchange with Draymond Green a couple of years ago. He was then roasted by Klay Thompson.

These connections add an intriguing layer to his arrival in Golden State, where he aims to contribute to the team’s success in the upcoming season.
