Despite Dennis Schroder’s shooting struggles, Germany managed to defeat Latvia 81-79 in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023. The game featured multiple lead changes, but Germany ultimately emerged victorious.

Coach Gordie Herbert’s team now advances to the Semi-Finals against the United States, while Latvia will compete in Classification Games 5-8. Schroder’s challenging night shooting the ball included him tying a World Cup record for missed shots.

Franz Wagner’s comeback and an 8-0 scoring run in the fourth quarter was crucial for Germany. Although Latvia’s Arturs Zagars put on an impressive performance, an unsuccessful game-winning three-point attempt by Davis Bertans sealed Germany’s win.

Mo Wagner was in a jovial mood after helping his national team beat Latvia at the 2023 FIBA World Cup. In the video below, he spoke about how he’s a spirited individual and expressed his happiness at seeing his brother back on the court.
