In a recent episode of Podcast P with Paul George, sports analyst Stephen A. Smith shared insights from a conversation he had with LeBron James’ agent, Rich Paul.

The topic of discussion? Smith’s ranking of James as the second-greatest basketball player of all time, behind the legendary Michael Jordan.

Smith, known for his strong opinions, revealed that during the conversation with Paul, he staunchly defended his ranking of James. However, Paul wasn’t pleased with the placement, considering it an insult to James’ remarkable career.

Recalling the conversation, Smith said (h/t ClutchPoints), “I got [LeBron James] as the 2nd best player in the history of basketball… I said [to Rich Paul] ‘you act like that’s an insult.’ This dude [says] ‘it is an insult.’… I said ‘get the f*ck out of my face.'”

Smith explained that he thought it was ridiculous to take it as an insult since he put James above everybody else except for MJ since the invention of basketball.
