Eurohoops found themselves in a situation where they had to playfully inquire from Gigi Datome whether the reason he avoids coaching is due to the infamous and not-safe-for-work viral incident involving Zeljko Obradovic during a Fenerbahce timeout.
“No. Me and Zeljko? We love each other,” Datome said. “I love Zeljko forever and ever. It’s exactly because I had great coaches like him and Ettore Messina that I know that it’s not easy to be a coach. I feel lucky I had great coaches like Zeljko.”
