Amidst the swirling trade rumors surrounding Damian Lillard’s potential move from the Trail Blazers to the Heat, Nikola Jovic, who recently completed his rookie season with Miami, has shared his perspective on the trade speculations.

In response to the ongoing discussions, Jovic expressed his attachment to the Miami team and his desire to continue contributing to their journey.

The 20-year-old Serbian forward acknowledged the nature of the business, stating, “It’s basketball. Of course I’d love to be in Miami. Those guys are great and they helped me a lot. What happens, happens. I hope I stay there. That’s all,” as reported by Christos Tsaltas.

While the possibility of being included in the trade package remains, Jovic’s comments reflect his positive outlook and his commitment to the Heat. Although, recently it was reported that Portland prefers Jaime Jaquez Jr. over Jovic in potential Lillard trade.

The forward appeared in 15 games, averaging 5.5 points and 2.1 rebounds in just 13.6 minutes per game.
