Italy emerged victorious in a nail-biting second match of the “Acropolis” tournament held in Athens, defeating Serbia with a score of 89-88.

Despite trailing by 17 points during the initial half, Italy exhibited relentless determination, ultimately securing the win by successfully defending against a final shot attempted by Bogdan Bogdanovic.

Simone Fontecchio led the Italian team in scoring with 13 points, and Achille Polonara contributed 11 points along with an impressive 11 rebounds.

Nikola Jovic of the Miami Heat delivered a standout performance for Serbia, amassing 18 points, while Bogdan Bogdanovic added 14 points to their tally.
