Free agent forward Thanasis Antetokounmpo will rejoin the Milwaukee Bucks, per Shams Charania of The Athletic. The terms and value of the deal are yet to be disclosed, but the Bucks have officially announced the signing.

According to Charania, Antetokounmpo opted to come back to Milwaukee amid multiple options from other teams including the New York Knicks.

The older brother of franchise superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, Thanasis spent the last four seasons in Milwaukee and averaged 2.7 points and 1.8 boards for 162 total games played.

Thanasis wasn’t employed by then-head coach Mike Budenholzer in his regular rotation for the Bucks in those last four seasons, but he is a proven energy guy, a good locker room presence, and a highly motivating voice around Giannis.

The 31-year-old now occupies the 15th roster spot of the Bucks. This marks the second time since 2019-20 that the club will feature a pair of brothers in their lineup as Robin Lopez (twin sibling of Brook Lopez) also rejoins Milwaukee earlier this offseason.
