Warriors’ star, Steph Curry, recently spoke candidly about the potential of reuniting with former teammate Kevin Durant. The opportunity arose when Durant, along with T. J. Warren, was traded to the Suns by the Nets on February 9, 2023.

During a podcast interview on The Ringer’s “Real Ones,” Curry shed light on the situation, stating (h/t Ricko Mendoza @ SB Nation), “There was an excitement or curiosity of, ‘Is this really a legit possibility?’ We know our games gel, we know how to play basketball, so if it ended up being that, of course, I’d love to play with him.”

Although there were rumors linking Durant to several teams before the trade, Curry emphasized that they had only discussed the idea in a casual manner. While Durant expressed his desire to leave Brooklyn, Curry explained that he was not involved in the decision-making process, and thus, he couldn’t control the outcome of the trade.
