Timberwolves guard Mike Conley has been awarded the 2022-23 NBA Sportsmanship Award, making it his fourth win and setting a league record.

The annual honor recognizes a player who exemplifies sportsmanship on and off the court. Conley, who previously won the award with the Grizzlies in 2013-14, 2015-16, and 2018-19, becomes the first Timberwolves player to receive the distinction.

Selected from a pool of six finalists, Conley’s win was determined by a vote from nearly 300 current NBA players. The Sportsmanship Award is named after Hall of Famer and six-time NBA champion Joe Dumars who won the inaugural award in 1995-96.
