Previously it was reported that the Pelicans consider trading Jonas Valanciunas. However, now Marc Stein writes on his Substack that Kira Lewis is more likely to be moved.

Both centers are set to enter final year of their respective contracts. Valanciunas will earn $15.4 million next season, while Lewis is set to make $5.7 million.

The 31-year-old Lithuanian averaged 14.1 points, 10.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 24.9 minutes per game last season.

Meanwhile, 22-year-old Lewis played just 25 games last year, averaging 4.6 points and 1.3 rebounds in 9.4 minutes per game.
