The Hornets have secured the services of LaMelo Ball for the next five years. NBA insider Arian Wojnarowski reports that the two sides have agreed on a five-year rookie max extension that could be worth up to $260 million.

Ball, former No. 3 pick by Charlotte in 2020, became an All-Star in 2022. He had career season last year but it was cut short by injuries.

Last season Ball averaged 23.3 points, 6.4 rebounds and 8.4 assists in 35.2 minutes per game.
