The last five NBA MVPs were awarded to international players – Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid. Two of them – the Greek Freak and Joker – are Europeans and won four of those awards.
Clippers star Paul George says that European players have crazy skills and they are changing the game. He expects the league to continue changing because of them.
“They’re going to flirt with this sh*t for a little while longer because I mean, it’s all the Euro guys that’s really changing our league,” George said on his podcast, via Rexwell Villas of ClutchPoints. “Think about Giannis. You think about the Joker, Luka, Wemby coming in. It’s all these international guys that have this crazy skill set.”
