The NBA has officially suspended Ja Morant for 25 games for the infamous gun incident. In addition, the Grizzlies star has been given a set of conditions that he has to meet before being allowed to play again.

The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) released an official statement disagreeing with the severity of the suspension.

According to Chris Haynes, the NBPA together with Morant’s camp will weigh the option of appealing the suspension. The purpose of the appeal would be to reduce the number of games as well as to remove some if not all of the addition conditions.

“That’s about the number that they were expecting. Do not be surprised if this suspension is appealed, if they try to get this situation in a matter which would reduce the number of games he’d be suspended,” Haynes said on NBA TV, via ClutchPoints.
