The Atlanta Hawks will tap Brittni Donaldson to serve as their latest assistant in the sidelines, sources told Lauren Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Donaldson will become the first ever female coach of the franchise, as she will now move on from the Detroit Pistons following a one-year stint as their director of coaching analytics.

She started her coaching stint as an analyst for the Toronto Raptors in 2017, and was elevated to Nick Nurse’s staff back in 2019.

The Hawks made plenty of coaching splashes this offseason to surround coach Quin Snyder, Donaldson will join Igor Kokoskov, Mike Brey, Antonio Lang, Jeff Watkinson and Steven Klei at the side of Atlanta next year.
