Andrew Wiggins is active and will suit up on the Golden State Warriors’ must-win Game 6 against the Los Angeles Lakers despite ailing from his rib fracture, per NBC Sports’ Dalton Johnson.

The Warriors noted that they’ll announce the availability of Wiggins this Friday from their pregame warmups. He was seen wearing a protective undershirt while doing shootarounds and individual workout.

Wiggins reportedly sustained a left costal cartilage (ribcage) fracture when he had a box out battle against LeBron James in the fourth quarter of their Game 5 victory last Wednesday. After taking the offensive board, he was seen grabbing the left side of his ribcage.

With the defending champs facing elimination as they are down 3-2 in their second round set against the Lakers, Wiggins’ two-way presence can’t be more needed to force the decisive Game 7 back in San Francisco. As such, it is yet to be seen if Steve Kerr will limit the star wingman’s exposure and workload.

Wiggins is tallying 16.8 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists in five games against the Lakers.
