Klay Thompson had a rough shooting night in Game 4 of the Western Conference against the Lakers. The 33-year-old shooting guard scored just 9 points (3/11 field goals, 3/9 three-pointers) as the Warriors lost 101-104 to go down 3-1 in the series.

Among his missed shots were two potentially game-changing three-pointers late in the fourth quarter. Despite the missed, Golden State’s head coach Steve Kerr is confident in Thompson.

“I trust Klay,” Kerr said postgame. “You think of everything that he’s done for this team. Part of who he is is he’s going to fire away. There were a couple late that he probably would like to have back, but it’s part of who we are as a team.

“We’re gonna fire. Where Steph or Klay gets an opening, they’re going to let it go. And they’ve had a ton of success over the years obviously. They both had some looks down the stretch. Give the Lakers credit. They played good defense and we couldn’t get anything to go.”
