D’Angelo Russell was one of the top contributors for the Lakers in Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals as he scored 21 points and dished out 5 assists.
The 27-year-old point guard has come a long way since his first stint with the Lakers through 2015-2017. After the game he was asked what has changed since then that allows him to be successful.
“I feel like I was prepared for this situation, prepared for this opportunity now,” Russell said. “Prepared myself mentally and physically to have success under these circumstances. Obviously, getting traded you got re-adjust your focus.
“Like I said, going through what I’ve been through my short time as a pro prepared me for almost everything. Just being prepared, shifting my mentality to the right place and then attacking it from there. I’ve had some success, so might not change that up.”
