The Grizzlies lost hopelessly in a do-or-die Game 6 against the Lakers in Los Angeles (85-125). Ja Morant was limited to just 10 points and Desmond Bane was the top scorer for Memphis with 15 points.

Lakers head coach Darvin Ham praised the Grizzlies, saying that they will be one of the top teams in the league for many years.

“Salute to the Memphis Grizzlies,” Ham said after the game. “They’re not going anywhere. They’re going to be around for years to come. They’ve gone through some challenging moments during the season.

“I just told Taylor [Jenkins] I love him. He’s hell of a coach, hell of a staff. He’s been the leader that they need. They’ll heal up and get healthier this summer and probably make some moves. But they will be at the top of the food chain for years to come.”
