BC Khimki have announced that forward Paul Davis has re-signed on a season-long deal plus the Russian side are looking to build their squad by signing Italian Gigi Datome.

At the moment Datome is a free agent after spending two years in the NBA with the Detroit Pistons and more recently, the Boston Celtics where in his final game of last season, was given a starting role, and scored 22 points to help the C’s beat the Milwaukee Bucks.

But Datome’s time in the NBA looks to be at an end as the Italian international is yet to receive a deal with another team in the league, and is looking at his options elsewhere with Khimki coming up as the front runners, according to Italian outlet Sportando.

The Russian side won the Eurocup last season, which automatically handed them a birth in the upcoming Euroleague season, where they were drawn in Group A alongside Real Madrid, Fenerbahce, Red Star Belgrade, Bayern Munich and Strasbourg.

While Khimki monitor Datome’s movements, The Moscow-based side have secured one deal for next season and that is of veteran Paul Davis.

The 30-year-old has already spent three seasons in Moscow following a spell with Liga Endesa side Seville and one of those was in the Euroleague, where the Rochester, Michigan native averaged 13.4 points a game.
