Following Tuesday’s 116-105 play-in road win vs. the Miami Heat, Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young talked to Hall of Famer Charles Barkley about new head coach Quin Snyder’s offensive style.

(via Inside the NBA/hat tip to House of Highlights):

Barkley: “Trae, two things. Number 1, y’all dominated them on the offensive boards, which is incredible. Did y’all talk about that before the game? Also did y’all play at a faster pace tonight? Because this is probably the most guys that y’all had involved offensively in a game I’ve seen y’all play this year?”

Young: “Yeah, for sure. What I’ll say about the physicality, we knew coming in the bigs were gonna have to be big on the boards tonight and the guards were gonna have to help them to match that physicality on the rebounding. So definitely, it was a key to us coming into the game. Also, like you said, playing faster is a big thing for coach Q. Wanting to get more threes up and wanting to play more in transition is his focus. We’re still learning that and we’re still gonna keep getting better at it, but I think we did a good job today at it.”
