The Dallas Mavericks big man Maxi Kleber talked about the Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis fouling him on a 3-point shoot, then helping on the final play before his game-winning 3:
“I guess that’s like the game plan for them, which you would have to ask them. Obviously, you don’t want to foul on the 3-point shot. I wasn’t sure because he is like very lengthy, I wasn’t sure if he was going to block the shot or not. I tried to get a release in, and then he knocked me over.”
On the game-winning shot:
“On the last play, they double-teamed, and Kai tried to get it out of his hands. I assume the game plan is for anybody else [to beat them], and then just everybody else has got to be ready.
“I don’t necessarily think it’s a big mistake. You live with the shot, kind of, but it was still like a high contested shot, I think…”
