The Dallas Mavericks star guard Luka Doncic capped off a historic five-game run with 51 points and his team needed all of it to beat the San Antonio Spurs 126-125 on Saturday night. Big man Christian Wood added 25 points and seven rebounds for Dallas.
After the game, Wood talked about countering coverages with Doncic: “Me and him are always talking with each other… The way teams defend us, they switch the coverages up every game. One game they might switch, another game they might be on a drop, another game they might be in a show…”
