LeBron James marked his 38th birthday by dropping 47 points against the Hawks and leading the Lakers to the win (130-121).
Afterwards James revealed that he made a call that he would score 40 points before the game, so he had to follow up and do it.
“I called it before the game so I had to make it happen,” the four-time NBA champion said. “After starting 1-for-5 I didn’t know it was going to happen. Just going out there playing for my teammates.
“It’s been a decent road trip last two games. Last game didn’t go the way we wanted it to go, but we wanted to finish up the road trip the right way so we did it tonight and we’ll finish it in Charlotte in a few nights.”
